WHO doesn’t love the Parisian vibe, a croissant breakfast or a short timetravel back to when Marie-Antoinette was impressing the world with outrageous living and extravagant outfits! Paaaaaareeeey – the French capital and for some it’s the city of love!
If you follow me on my Instagram (and I truly hope you do, here), you will obviously know that I visited my favorite city in the WWW – PARIS. I mean of course I was there for Haute Couture Week with all my best fashion buddies – Chiara, Anna & the other Anna, Kendall, Bella, the list could go on and on.

OK. NO. JOKING GUYS. Like, as if anybody would invite me to anything. My mom and I went on a little city trip. From Basel it’s only a 3 hour train ride away. Best thing – the sales just started at the beginning of June. SHOPPPPPPPPPING.

AND now you are probably thinking. OMFG. Who is she to share a guide on Paris?! Yes you are totally right but I thought I would share my faves and where I go when in the city of love. Basically my mom and I always visit the same spots. A wise person – don’t ask me who – once said never change a winning team. So when we revisit the same places over and over again we know we the get. Fab.

Brunch: Anytime and always.

LE PAIN QUOTIDIEN – If you are looking for a decent açai bowl in Paris and want to escape the carb-loaded typical French breakfast then I can absolutely recommend this place. The Belgian chain is actually famous for their fresh, organic bread.

CAFE DE FLORE – Probably no. 1 on Paris’ list of most instagrammed places. The Café is in the upcoming area of Saint-Germain-de-Près. I also think that its the exterior what makes it so famous. Absolutely stunning and georges. Foodwise – Basics are key.

CARETTE – Located at beautiful Places de Vosges this cute café offers a great view to the beautiful park across. Who doesn’t like a little green in the city?! Between contemporary art galleries the crowd is super chilled, cool and very Parisian. This is also one of the most expensive areas to live. Food-wise you can get anything from croissants, to cheese, fab salads and of course homemade cakes and sweets.

Dinner/Lunch: Food, food, food and more food.

HOTEL COSTES – This is where the people hang out who want to be seen. So me, totally me. Every trip I take to Paris you will find me here a least once. I just love the vibe. Fancy ladies showing off their news brings and outrages Hermès Croco bags, the boys rolling up in the news Ferraris and biggest watches ever. Great for people watching. Food is good. I can defo recommend the club sandwich – 30€ and its yours.

L’AVENUE – LITERALLY THE SAME AS HOTEL COSTES. Owner, interior and event the food is the same. So you actually only need to visit one.

HOTEL BACHAUMONT – Very cool hotel, even cooler restaurant. This is where “cool, fashion” people hang out. Best part?! In summer you can also sit outside apparently Veronika Heilbrunner also dines here. So it musst be pretty cool!

DARCOCO – For a little Italian high-life you should defo visit this place. Beautiful interior, you can even take selfie with the ceiling mirror. Apparently they serve the best pizza and pasta in town.

Pro-tip here: If you need a litte after-dinner-walk the beautiful Palais Royal is just around the corner.

RALPH’S – Defo make sure you can eat on the outside. So much nice. White white white was the motto here. Food is almost fine dining. The crowd is a bit more chilled and low maintenance than Hotel Costes or L’Avenue. And also whats amazing. The meat you get is from Ralph Lauren’s own Ranch in like the middle of nowhere.

Shopping: Doing what I do best.

GALLERIES LAFAYETTE – A French department store classic. Beautiful interior with great history. Everything from high-end brands Fendi, Gucci, Prada to basics such as Zara and Topshop. All in one building and great sales. The only negative point here. This places is packed. Tourists like me, everywhere

BON MARCHE – This is the Parisian pendant to the famous Galleries Lafayette. Located in St. Germain this department store just streams GOALZ. Compared to other places the Bon Marché is more focused on cool, in the scene designer labels such as off-white. They also recently launched an exclusive collaboration with Salvatore Ferragamo who designed three FAB AF mules. Can you guess which one I got?!

SANDRO STOCK – I LOVE SANDRO. This brand just screams Parisian chic to me. But sometimes like maybe more often their stuff is just not as affordable as Zara. Super unfortch. So when I heard there was a Sandro “outlet” this place was my first stop. They have great pieces and they go max three seasons back. FYI in that street there is also the carven and the Claudine Pierlot Stock. So save some money before going there.

LE MARAIS – If you ask me this is the coolest “hood” in Paris. Next to a great selection of small cafés and bistros you can find the fabest stores and cutest little boutiques. Anything from jewelry, to clothes to interior stuff. Even if you are not planning on buying anything this area is just great to walk around and do some window shopping.

ROGER VIVIER – Nope not what your thinking. I mean I love Roger Vivier. Super chic, super expensive. But this flagship store on Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honoré is goals. More like apartment goals. Check it out for yourself. This time we even met super model and muse Inès De la Fressange.

Treat yo-self: I literally can’t be bothered with calories on a holiday.

GELATERIA GROM – Especially in summer ice creams are on the daily for me. I discovered this place when I was walking home from dinner one night. You know the drill. After something salty I need sweet. It’s like Italy in Paris. This ice cream is the best!!

LADUREE  This is what I always bring home to my friends and family as a little present. Macarons from Ladurée. I know… so uncreative and so basic but I LOVE THEM! Paris has over 4 shops where you can get yourself some macarons but also have amazing brunch with anything you heart desires!

Culture: Somestimes, but only sometimes there is more than shopping and food.

CHRISTIAN DIOR, COUTURIER DU RÊVE – With the kick-off of this years haute couture week the Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrated the 70th anniversary of the creation of the House of Dior. This extravagant exhibition shows over 300 amazing Dior designs of all the past designers. Walking through the halls of this museum I got goosebumps. Who thought an exhibition would get to me. Get all the inside scoop here.

THE LOUVRE – I mean this one of the most iconic museums in the world. Great history is told here. Defo make sure you see the Mona Lisa painting so you can tick it off your list of “things to do before I die”. The “garden” of the museum is where all the tourists take their pictures with the glas pyramids. Even I did this 😉

THE EXTRA – One thing I haven’t done yet but this is defo on my list. A trip to Versailles. The old palace of the French King Louis XIV. I mean even Kim K had her pre wedding dinner at this place. LIKE OMG. Make sure you have an extra day off for this excursion tho. It takes time!
